What’s exciting about the Windows 10 Creators Update?

Have you updated your Windows OS? The Windows 10 Creators Update has now been deployed with fresh features and new tweaks. Here’s a look at the most notable.

Windows 10 Creators Update

Paint 3D

The new Paint 3D application included in Windows 10 allows you to work with and create 3D models. Windows also comes with a “View 3D Preview” app that allows everyone to open 3D models, view, rotate around, and zoom in. Currently, it supports .fbx and .3mf file types.

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Headsets

Microsoft is now developing Mixed reality – which includes Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Holographic computing. It was named before as “Windows Holographic”. You can build your own virtual world using HoloLens supported by WebVR in Microsoft Edge. There’s also a new application called HoloTour, which lets you explore locations around the world using a virtual reality or augmented reality headset.

Game Mode

You can enable Game mode on Windows 10 by pressing Win + G while in game. Click the settings icon on the Game Bar and check the “Use Game Mode for this game” option. Enabling Game mode allows your OS to fully optimize resources in the current game your playing. The game will then given more CPU cores whilst background process will be given lesser.
