Finally! Apple has unveiled the much-awaited iPhone lineups; The iPhone X, 8, and 8 Plus. We’ve seen and heard in early rumors the appearance and some specs on the new iPhone. Just recently, a viral video shows a working iPhone 8 on Reddit titled “Alleged working iPhone 8” but as Apple unveiled it on its keynote yesterday, it was revealed as “iPhone X”. The iPhone X(also known as iPhone 10 or ten) commemorates the 10th anniversary of the iPhone since Steve Jobs introduced it 10 years ago. The Keynote was held at the Steve Jobs theater in Cupertino, California USA.
As we all expected the new iPhone X will have bezel-less AMOLED screen with a huge cut out at the top of its screen. It doesn’t have touch ID but rather a much-advance Face ID located in the cut-out. Also, features a new CPU called A11 Bionic which promises more processing power and high-efficiency cores. iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, on the other hand, has also the same specs as the iPhone X except for the design. The 8 and 8 Plus has the same design body just like last years iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, but it features an all-in glass design front and back with the power of wireless charging.
iPhone 8 has two configurations, 64GB and 256GB will be priced starting at $699 USD. 8 Plus has the same two configurations but it will be priced starting at $799 USD. iPhone X, same 64GB and 256GB and will start at $999 USD.
Apple also introduces in the keynote some of its latest technological innovations such as the ARkit which enables developers to create augmented reality apps for iPhones and iPads. New Apple Watch with LTE capability and a new Apple TV 4k.
The event lasted more than 2 hours, but American news and media network The Verge published a video on YouTube summarizing the event for 15 minutes. So you don’t have to watch it all. Take a look!
