Haven’t you wondered? Why is that your postpaid bill always goes high or GB plan getting consumed even though you know you’re not frequently using internet? That maybe because of cellular data and background Apps being turned on. This is so frustrating as your carrier is charging you for these unexpected data used by the Apps on your phone.
So how do you prevent this from happening? You can just simply turn off cellular data to entirely disconnect your phone to the internet and cut any Apps that might be consuming your data. But do you know you can actually Restrict or prevent certain Apps and completely save a lot?

For iOS devices:
Go to Settings –> General –>Background App Refresh
Select the apps you want to disable data on the background. Or you can completely turn it off if you want. All your application then will not be working or updating unless you open one.

- Locate the app you want to prevent using your data in the background
- Scroll to the bottom of the app listing
- Tap to enable Restrict background data
